Absorbag: Shipping Desiccants

One of Absortech's original shipping desiccant, which is used to protect cargo during shipping and storage from damages caused by humidity problems. Like the Absorpole, Absorbag is designed to sit trough of the container wall but does not contain the rigid casing and is ideally suited for shipping containers that allow free space between the exported cargo and container walls. 

Absorbag is based on calcium chloride, which has the proven ability of  to aggressively remove moisture from the air and can absorb 150% of its weight in moisture.

How Absorbag works

Absorbag is activated once it is pulled out of its plastic sleeve. The calcium chloride, at the top of the bag, immediately starts to absorb moisture from the surrounding air.

The desiccant material gradually dissolves into brine which is captured in a separate collector. Once captured, the moisture will not re-evaporate into the air.

Absorbag is made only of PE/PP plastics and salt, which are non-toxic and recyclable. Absorbag is a one-time product and can be disposed with regular waste.
